English: Akira Kurosawa (March 23, 1910 – September 6, 1998) was a Japanese film director, screenwriter, producer, and editor. 1953 photo, on the set of Seven Samurai. This was scanned from a public domain 1953 issue of 映画の友 (Eiga no tomo) an old Japanese film magazine.
